“Life Is Better All Together" youth exchange project aimed to bring young people together and guide them to understand the problems of immigrants/refugees, the reasons for their migration and to find solutions to their problems, to raise awareness in a friendly environment and to spread this awareness to the local communities. Last years important issues arised from immigration especially after start of Syrian Civil War and Russian agression against Ukraine. The number of refugees and immigrants has increased rapidly during the last years. While immigrants have difficulty in adapting to the places they go, local people also have various prejudices against immigrants. Our project aimed to contribute to the integration of refugees and immigrants into the local societies where they go, and to bring a positive change in the perspective of the local society towards immigrants. We endeavored to initiate a wave of respect and tolerance rooted in multiculturalism, beginning with our participants and extending outward to local communities, and eventually reaching a global scale. Participants who engaged with the local community embraced this mission at a grassroots level. At a broader scale, our organizations, in collaboration with our participants and partners, carried this wave to diverse regions across Europe. As it can be understood from the project name “Life Is Better All Together" youth exchange project is based on EU values. We wanted to show that life is better all together. We organized this project for: -youth to understand meanings of refugee, migrant, asylum seeker and etc. -deepen understanding of integration process of immigrants and refugees, -deepen understanding reasons of migration, -to call attention to problems that are faced by immigrants/refugees and the solutions to these problems, -finding suggestions for methods of integration/harmony. Through interactive workshops, discussions, and cultural exchanges, participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the diverse terms associated with migration, including refugee, migrant, asylum seeker, and other related concepts. During the project participants gained insights into the challenges and opportunities of the integration process. Participants explored the multifaceted reasons behind migration, including economic, social, political, and environmental factors. Participants also brainstormed and proposed innovative solutions to challanges faced by migrants, emphasizing the importance of solidarity and support for immigrant and refugee communities. At the end of project participants generated a variety of practical suggestions for promoting integration and harmony within diverse communities. We implemented a youth exchange with participants from 6 different countries and pluralism, equality and integration were priorities of the project.
