The youth exchange program "The Art of Storytelling for Intercultural Understanding" was developed to address critical issues facing young people. This included developing intercultural skills that enabled them to communicate and work effectively with people from different cultural backgrounds. The program also aimed to tackle stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination that could hinder positive intercultural relationships. The program was based on using storytelling as a powerful tool for exploring other cultures, their history, lifestyles, and other aspects, breaking down stereotypes and prejudices, and helping young people discover their own identity. Through storytelling, intercultural competencies such as cultural awareness, sensitivity, communication, and cooperation in intercultural environments were promoted and developed among the participants. The aims of the program included improving the intercultural competencies of the participants directly involved and equipping them with storytelling tools to combat stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination. It aimed to raise awareness of the importance of addressing these issues and promote the Erasmus+ program to support intercultural learning. It also aimed to produce various materials such as blogs, digital content, and handbooks to stimulate the interest of young people and youth organizations in using stories to promote intercultural understanding. Finally, it aimed to promote cooperation between partners and stimulate the development of new project ideas within the Erasmus+ program.
