The AGILE project aimed to address insufficient exposure of European youths to gender equality concepts, particularly focusing on breaking down patriarchal stereotypes and fostering progressive understanding. Building on insights from prior projects, AGILE sought to empower young people with critical awareness of gender inequalities and foster intercultural discussions about gender roles across European and migrant cultures. The overarching goal was to facilitate transformative learning experiences, encourage open-mindedness, and promote advocacy for gender equality. The specific objectives of the AGILE project were: 1. Conducting a pre-project survey to explore participants’ gender traits and identify factors contributing to gender stereotypes. 2. Raising critical awareness among youths about gender roles and inequalities in their societies. 3. Facilitating discussions on gender balance in European countries to inform and inspire participants. 4. Enabling knowledge acquisition and sharing through intercultural dialogues, fostering open-mindedness, and building advocacy skills. This project reflects a continued effort to involve young people from diverse European countries, aiming for comprehensive literacy on gender equality and the dismantling of stereotypes.
