Objectives

The project Greencademy is one of the flagship programs of the Next Level e.V.. This is the 4th year that we are implementing the Greencademy Youth Exchange, and we have also implemented 2 Greencademy training courses and 1 KA2 small-scale project. The Greencademy project aims to promote green skills, green transition, and sustainable agriculture. We provide knowledge to young people about the impacts of Industrial agriculture and how it is one of the biggest contributors to climate change. The next step is to change the attitude and behavior of young people about their food choices and how they can make smart choices to reduce their impact on the environment and have less carbon emissions. The next step in targeting young people is to build Entrepreneurial skills in them so that they can prepare innovative projects focusing on the topic of the project's goals and objectives to have a larger impact. The project achieved the following objectives: -Understanding the Impact of Industrial Food Production: We Facilitated discussions and presentations that explored how industrial food production affects human health, environmental sustainability, and biodiversity, focusing on the extensive use of pesticides, fertilizers, and other chemicals in agriculture. -Raising Awareness about Sustainable Agricultural Practices: We Introduced participants to sustainable farming methods such as organic farming, permaculture, and natural farming, emphasizing their benefits to human health, environmental well-being, and local communities. -Promoted Sustainable Food Choices: We Encouraged participants to prioritize food products produced through sustainable practices by sharing actionable tips and providing real-world examples of accessible alternatives. -Empowering Support for Sustainable Farmers: We Guide participants on how they can support farmers practicing sustainable agriculture, including direct purchases, advocacy, and community support, to strengthen this movement at a grassroots level. -Building Community Awareness: We Equipped participants with tools and strategies to spread awareness within their communities about the importance of sustainable food production and its benefits for a healthier planet. -Provided Hands-On Experience with Sustainable Farming: We Organized visits to sustainable community farms and local initiatives in Erfurt to offer participants a practical understanding of how these practices are implemented and the positive impact they generate. -Developing innovative project ideas: The project also provided knowledge and skills to participants where they could develop some creating projects focusing on Green skills, green transition, and Sustainable agriculture and present those projects by the end of the project.
