The youth encounter Jugendkunstsommer 2023: work'n future brought together a number of different things: On the one hand, the young people took an artistic and creative stance on the expectations placed on them with regard to their professional future, but also the general future of work. Most of the participants come from peripheral rural areas, which often offer few opportunities and little creativity. Through the creative part of the project, the participants were able to and thought together about a future for their living and working environment that can be enriched by European solidarity. This self-efficacy included the participants learning to overcome obstacles together through solidarity. Participants were empowered to break down language barriers, to strengthen their own skills and competences artistically and creatively and, in the end, to understand differences and diversity as a common asset. For youth work, this means confidence in the young people's abilities and a strengthening of European networking, which the project will certainly promote, as all three organisations have experienced from a previous project that the exchange will continue. This is another reason why we are organising this project: We want to further expand this co-operation and networking between the participants.
