The project "Twin City Games for the anniversary: 375 years of the Peace of Westphalia" was a multinational youth exchange with participants from Münster and Münster's twin cities from different countries. Young people from the new Ukrainian solidarity partner city were also included. Together, they commemorated the historic event of the diplomatic peace agreement in Europe in 1648 and discussed the challenges of a future in peace in a globalised society. The programme aimed to strengthen intercultural understanding and European identity, promote sustainable networking and expand international youth work on the basis of existing town twinnings. The young people were able to find their own voice in a multicultural setting and actively engage with the topic of peace in Westphalia and its significance for our European and ultimately global community of values.
