Objectives

The aim of the #hashtag2023 project was to establish an international format for innovation, education, and networking tailored for young individuals aged 16 to 30. The project has evolved continuously since 2018, transitioning from a bilateral post-event meeting for participants in youth exchange projects to a multilateral, participatory space for engagement, innovation, and reflection. Our primary objective was to provide young people with a platform for personal development, participation, and discussion on current issues in politics, society, culture and research. The format aimed to impart crucial skills essential for both societal and professional engagement. The participatory festival aimed to motivate participants to actively contribute to projects, collaborate with partners and engage in socio-political processes responsibly. Within the #hashtag2023 framework, participants deepened their knowledge of partner countries, developed intercultural competencies, and nurtured critical thinking. The format offered participants an open, appreciative space where they could authentically and without prejudice contribute and fostering a sense of self-efficacy. For the involved organizations, the format proved to be a platform for networking, the development of further project ideas and the establishment of a shared pedagogical discourse. For the year 2023, we have chosen the hashtag #wecreators. With this, we associate the idea of staying together as a community/society, shaping one's own life, social engagement, collaborative creation, influencing the future, building a community and getting to know new people. We have endeavored to reflect this approach in the program.
