Objectives

The primary aim of our Erasmus+ Key Action 153 project was to directly address the pressing challenges of unemployment and social exclusion across the EU, particularly among marginalized communities, which were significantly exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite emergency financial aid and support measures, long-term consequences persisted, with marginalized groups like migrants, immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers facing disproportionately high unemployment rates due to systemic discrimination, limited job access, and underrepresentation in skill-building programs. In response to this urgent social and economic challenge, our collaborative project was designed to empower individuals within these vulnerable groups by leveraging the transformative potential of entrepreneurship and enhanced youth work. Our core objectives were successfully fulfilled, focusing on: Training and Capacity Building: To equip youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, and organizational representatives with the essential tools, competencies, and knowledge necessary to effectively promote entrepreneurship as a pathway to inclusion and employment. Promoting Entrepreneurship: To establish entrepreneurship as a powerful and accessible mechanism to support marginalized individuals' access to the labor market. Raising Public Awareness: To define concrete mechanisms for public awareness-raising aimed at advancing broader social openness and inclusion. Knowledge Exchange and Best Practices: To facilitate the sharing of successful strategies and good practices among the participating EU countries, creating a shared knowledge base for future initiatives. Showcasing Erasmus+ Impact: To effectively demonstrate the value and utility of the Erasmus+ program as a vital tool for empowering youth workers and promoting inclusive societies. These objectives directly targeted the identified needs, providing a comprehensive response to the issues of unemployment and social exclusion by fostering entrepreneurial thinking, social entrepreneurship, and strategic communication, all tailored to the context of working with marginalized groups.
