The greeNEED Youth Work 2 project had the stated aim of disseminating green practices in youth work, teaching the roles and responsibilities of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and youth workers in the field of sustainable development and developing environmentally friendly methods of non-formal education. The main objectives of our project were as follows: - Develop educational methods to promote environmental awareness: we wanted to develop innovative educational approaches to promote environmental awareness among young people and sensitise them to environmental issues. - Designing youth work practices to support sustainable development: Our aim was to train youth workers in green practices and enable them to integrate sustainable development goals into their work. - Youth workers should be exposed to different non-formal and informal learning methods to enhance their pedagogical skills and reach young people more effectively. - Youth NGOs should be empowered to develop action plans for green practices to actively participate in promoting sustainable solutions. - Implement projects to raise environmental awareness among young people: We planned various projects and activities to raise environmental awareness among youth and provide hands-on experience in environmental protection. - Carrying out zero-waste awareness activities in youth work: Our aim was to make youth work as environmentally friendly as possible and reduce waste. - Developing innovative methods to avoid plastic and paper waste in projects: We aimed to establish environmentally friendly methods in project implementation. - Strengthening social awareness through dissemination activities: We aimed to promote social engagement and empathy among young people so that they actively work for positive social change. - Reach out to disadvantaged young people and develop strategies to ensure that they can benefit from youth opportunities to the greatest extent possible. - Disseminate non-formal and informal learning methods through programmes such as Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps (ESC): Our aim was to share good practices and teaching methods in a broader context and to promote cooperation across Europe.
