Our training course “In The Name of Humanity” aimed to address the pressing issue of inadequate awareness and understanding of human rights among various segments of society, particularly youth. Recognizing the fundamental importance of human rights in promoting social justice and peace, the project sought to instil a deeper comprehension of human rights concepts such as discrimination, equality, and democracy among participants. Through interactive training sessions and collaborative activities, the project aimed to equip youth workers with the knowledge and skills to effectively advocate for human rights, combat violence, and promote democratic values within their communities. By fostering long-term cooperation among partner institutions and disseminating best practices, the project aimed to contribute to the establishment of robust mechanisms for safeguarding human rights and fostering a culture of respect and dignity for all individuals. Furthermore, our project aspired to bridge the gap between theoretical understanding and practical application of human rights principles. By providing participants with experiential learning opportunities and facilitating discussions on real-world human rights violations, the project aimed to empower youth workers to actively engage in promoting human rights in their daily lives and professional endeavours. Through the dissemination of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the exploration of case studies highlighting the consequences of human rights violations, the project sought to cultivate a sense of responsibility and commitment among participants towards upholding human rights standards and advocating for societal change.
