Through international youth work, we are connected to wonderful people and organizations in many countries. Whilst each might approach work differently and use different methods and solutions, we are connected through mutual values and visions. With this project, we wanted to use the differences we have, and learn from each other, whilst strengthening and improve the existing connections among us. The networking and capacity-building workshop held in Greifswald in June 2023 provided a space for international youth workers to meet and get to know each other, exchange best-practice examples and benefit from colleagues' ideas. We believe that forming a reliable network of international partnerships makes youth organizations more resilient towards the uncertainties that our fast-changing world brings. In accordance with the European Youth Work Agenda, we wanted to reinforce the quality of youth work. Furthermore, we wanted to make European values, ideas and programmes more accessible to local youth organizations. We invited their representatives to join the workshop programme and meet international colleagues. Lastly, while it is important to meet each other in person and know each other well, it is much easier to do so by working on a topic of mutual interest. Therefore, the topic 'mental health in volunteering' was chosen as the project's thematic core with the goal to learn with and from each other about this very important topic of immense current relevance. As many participants were connected to us prior to this activity through cooperation in the European Solidarity Corps, another underlying goal of the project was to strengthen these partnerships and improve our international youthwork on this level in the future.
