Youth workers had important roles in raising environmental awareness, raising awareness of nature, and increasing sensitivity in individuals, especially in youth. Improvement efforts were needed to provide young people with recycling habits, reduce waste rates, provide necessary training on recycling, and build cultural infrastructure. Recycling of waste was crucial for the prevention of global climate changes and environmental pollution, which caused negative impacts, thus ensuring sustainable living. Based on this background, we created our project in connection with the European Union Youth Strategy 2019-2027 target of "More efficient resource utilization, a green and competitive economy." Our youth workers needed to learn the necessary activities to ensure the integration of good practices in environmental awareness and recycling in Europe into our country. With our partners in Europe, we expected our youth workers to receive good practices in Europe regarding clean environment, conscious consumption, zero waste, and recycling. In this way, the interaction of different cultures was ensured, and common solutions were reached for an international problem. Accordingly, with our project, it was aimed to create: Protection of natural resources through cross-border cooperation initiatives, Development of capacity for sustainable use of resources and management of common natural resources, Raising awareness in the field of conservation and restoration of ecosystems, Awareness on clean environment, conscious consumption, recycling, and waste reduction. In connection with our Erasmus+ programme objectives, we aimed to: Provide intercultural interaction, Increase cooperation with institutions/organizations that carried out activities in the field of youth, Encourage the development of active citizenship by ensuring effective intercultural communication. For these purposes, youth workers would be able to guide and lead people. They would provide environmental awareness in the fight against environmental pollution and unconscious consumption, and would develop themselves through new studies on transferring environmental awareness to young people. By contributing to the internationalization of institutions/organizations, they would create awareness about environmental issues and help young people to live in a cleaner future.
