Objectives

With our project, we aim to support and encourage deaf and deaf-blind young adults who are 18 years old to embark on independent travels outside of Germany. These travels are to be organized and planned independently by the participants themselves. The purpose of these journeys is to provide the youth with the opportunity to gain valuable insights into other cultures and languages through interactions with people. Participants will gain perspectives on the accessibility features of other countries and explore the differences that exist. Simultaneously, the financial inclusion support provided by Erasmus facilitates a travel experience that is as barrier-free and inclusive as possible. Diversity is our guiding principle, and we aim to reflect this in the selection of participants. The use of participants' native language, sign language, is considered and promoted as a natural component, both for external representation and for recognition by those outside the community. Through this project, our goal is to enable participants to embark on travels that are free from barriers and obstacles.
