Objectives

The "Youth Motivation" project aimed to achieve several key objectives to enhance youth work quality and inclusivity across the EU. Firstly, it sought to educate youth workers in organizing workshops to include marginalized youngsters, equipping them with innovative methods and tools for fostering social cohesion. Strengthening the digital skills of youth workers was a priority, improving their capacities and enabling them to integrate popular applications and platforms into their practices. Stimulating creativity and productivity among youth workers and young people was another essential goal, empowering them to use digital tools effectively for engagement and development. The project also aimed to foster employability and digital literacy, aligned with the EU's "New Skills for New Jobs" initiative and the "European Framework for Key Competences for Lifelong Learning." Additionally, it sought to internationalize the regular activities of participating organizations and establish new partnerships for future collaborations. Through these objectives, the project intended to support educators and youth workers, enhance their skills, and improve the quality of youth work in the long term

Background

We applied for the "Youth Motivation" project to address several pressing needs within youth work across the EU. These include the lack of digital skills among youth workers, insufficient access to systematized information about innovative methods, and limited interactive tools to engage marginalized youngsters effectively. The Covid-19 crisis exacerbated these issues, leaving many youngsters feeling isolated and detached from daily activities, which hindered their inclusion, productivity, and overall quality of life. The project seeks to empower youth workers with the knowledge and skills to use digital tools, methods, and platforms creatively, ensuring they can better support young people from diverse backgrounds. By fostering digital literacy, employability, and creativity, aligned with EU initiatives like “New Skills for New Jobs” and the “European Framework for Key Competences for Lifelong Learning,” we aim to improve the capacity and effectiveness of youth workers. Moreover, the project emphasizes international collaboration and sharing best practices among partner organizations to broaden perspectives, tackle youth demotivation, and enhance engagement strategies.
