The main objective was to increase the capacities of participating organizations to effectively promote and support entrepreneurship for young people, with a particular focus on girls and women. We wanted to address the underrepresentation of girls and women in entrepreneurship and empower them through targeted initiatives in Turkey, Serbia, and Germany. Our other key objectives were to: 1. Strengthen the capacities of organizations in Turkey, Serbia, and Germany to design and implement initiatives that build entrepreneurial competencies, focusing on creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and innovation. 2. Initiate collaboration between organizations and key sectors, such as business and education, to create sustainable, cross-sectoral solutions. 3. Train youth workers and educators to develop and deliver activities that empower girls and women, providing them with practical tools and methods to address their unique challenges. 4. Research the needs of the young females and educators, and based on that create a user-friendly and easy to read and implement Toolkit for female entrepreneurship. 4. Build a strong consortium network to ensure continued collaboration and the development of new projects.
We applied for this project to address the need to empower girls and young women aged 16 to 30, who are underrepresented in the workforce and business sectors. As women ourselves, we noticed a lack of resources, events, networking opportunities, and simple, easy-to-read step-by-step guidance on how to start a business or initiatives, and particularly in the field of non-formal education. This inspired us to focus on creating practical solutions for young women to overcome these barriers with the help of non-formal education tools. It was also important to increase the capacities of organizations in the topic of entrepreneurship, of joint development of digital resources and strengthen connections with the local business, NGOs and educational institutions. The project addressed several key needs. For organizations, we focused on building their capacity to design and lead entrepreneurial programs effectively. For young people we created a practical toolkit offering step-by-step guidance and success stories both to teach and inspire them. For educators, we provided training and Digital resources to deliver impactful entrepreneurship education. A core goal was also to increase the visibility and popularity of female entrepreneurship.
