The aim of SEEDS 4 Youth was to support youth organisations and their staff in fostering entrepreneurial skills among young people. The outcomes were designed to empower professionals, particularly in their work with marginalised young people, especially those with a migrant background. Youth workers exchanged ideas on various practices and tried out the methods they had learnt in their local youth work. This addressed another objective of the project, namely the general capacity building of the partner organisations through the expansion of their own portfolios. During the international training sessions and the associated work shadowing opportunities, the partner organisations not only became familiar with the various skills involved, but were also able to test and adapt them to their own working contexts. Through the transfer of knowledge and methods, the organisations were not only strengthened in their work with the target group in imparting entrepreneurial skills, but were also able to expand their portfolio more broadly through additional methods and approaches.
All the organisations work in the field of youth education with vulnerable target groups. Although the target groups and their needs vary from place to place, all the partners are united by their commitment to helping their target groups improve their own lives. An important aspect for future prospects is the transition into working life, which is why the organisations have placed the development of entrepreneurial skills at the heart of the project. Over the course of the project, the focus was progressively refined, guided by the EntreComp framework, to ensure greater transferability for other organisations. During the project, the organisations were able to exchange views on their challenges, practices and ideas within their different contexts, thereby strengthening their own structures. Furthermore, the organisations regularly work to make their local youth work innovative, for which international exchange and looking beyond their own horizons are extremely valuable. In this sense, the project was used to gain insights into different practices, exchange best practices, acquire skills and build long-term partnerships.
