Objectives

The Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) is deeply committed to international cooperation, with a clear mission and vision that includes active participation in the Erasmus+ Programme. This commitment is essential for delivering education in classical music performance at the highest international level. RDAM prepares students for a global labour market where internationalisation plays a significant role in both professional and practical contexts. To this end, RDAM adopts a strategic and engaged approach to all aspects of its international activities. The Academy continually strengthens its efforts in internationalisation through mobility programmes, strategic partnerships and the development of new international cooperation networks. The Erasmus+ Programme, along with RDAM’s active participation in the European network AEC (Association Européenne des Conservatoires), forms a cornerstone of the institution’s international development. These frameworks offer a variety of funding opportunities, which RDAM actively explores and integrates into its strategic planning. RDAM remains dedicated to ensuring that students benefit from high-quality mobility opportunities with partner institutions offering a diverse range of attractive programmes. Teacher mobility is another key priority, as it supports professional development and contributes to the evolution of pedagogy and artistic practice through the exchange of perspectives. With over 20 years of experience in the Erasmus+ Programme, RDAM has established strong and lasting partnerships with conservatoires and art academies across Europe. These collaborations ensure accessible and well-structured mobility opportunities for both students and staff, reinforcing RDAM’s role as a leading institution in international music education.
