Objectives

OBJECTIVE We wanted to carry out this project so we could share the knowledge we have gained during the years and support more youths in their growth, finding or creating their most wanted future. The idea of the project was to provide youth workers, NEET people and those in search of a brighter future with tools, experience and knowledge for communal living, creating a permanent culture and dealing with challenges of the society. The aim was a transformational 7 - days training, where people could learn through sharing, experiencing and exchanging ideas, knowledge, skills and common space for creating the ideal life setting they long for. We aimed to empower them to bring new tools to rural areas for dealing with local and national challenges. We aimed to develop and strengthen international connections and collaboration. The SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES of "Tools for Cultural Change" were to: 1. Foster the importance of social inclusion and diversity in the community setting. Giving space and supporting those in need and people with fewer opportunities. 2. Catalyze a global cultural transformation towards a greener and more sustainable lifestyle through examples, experiential learning and deeper connection. 3. Provide the participants with deeper understanding, experience and knowledge about green skills and tools that can be used in daily life or support a higher cause such as social transformation. 4. Introduce the Green Deal of the EU and the SDG’s. 5. Create and enhance a pool of like-minded people, who can exchange experiences and create together an action plan for a more sustainable lifestyle for the environment and for humans as a community. We wanted to offer a non-formal and participative learning process to build abilities and competencies and provide tools to identify their needs and ideas, read the context and landscape, identify the resources and develop creative and inclusive solutions for their local social and environmental challenges. The process started already before the mobility, and it was reinforced after it as our aim was for them toi mplement the learnings in their lives and communities, responding to local and global needs. With our "Tools for Cultural Change" training we addressed and fulfilled the following needs in our participants: - The need for belonging. - The need for tolerance, support and the feeling of community. - The need for tools to deal with climate challenges in rural areas. - The need to deal with high unemployment rates. - The need for a safe space for expressing one's authenticity, deeper connection and free speech. - The need for understanding and being heard. - The need for meeting people with shared values. - The need for skills and tools for dealing with challenging situations, topics, and life events.
