AS Eesti Ettevõtluskõrgkool Mainor/Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences (EUAS) strategy for 2023-2028 is built on three strategic goals: evaluating research activities and becoming an academic university, internationalization, and becoming a competence center for Ülemiste City. The Erasmus+ KA131 project was designed to enhance the institution’s international strategic goal and improve the overall quality of learning, teaching, and research. Our central aim was to make internationalisation a driver of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusion, while supporting the personal and professional development of both students and staff. Through Erasmus+ mobility, EUAS sought to increase opportunities for students and staff to engage in meaningful international experiences. We placed particular emphasis on equitable access, ensuring that participants from diverse backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities, could benefit from study, traineeship, teaching, and training abroad. At the same time, by welcoming incoming students and staff, we aimed to create an international learning environment on campus, enriching academic life and fostering intercultural dialogue. Strategic partnerships with European higher education institutions were strengthened and diversified, with the goal of fostering long-term cooperation in teaching, research, and innovation. This collaboration contributed to the sharing of best practices, curriculum development and the exploration of possible new projects and joint programmes. For students, the project offered pathways to build networks for future cooperation, develop intercultural competencies, improve foreign language skills and broaden career prospects. For staff, participation in teaching and training abroad supported the building networks for future cooperation, adoption of innovative pedagogical approaches, internationalisation of curricula and expansion of professional contacts. The project was also closely aligned with both European and institutional priorities. Inclusion and diversity were promoted as core values, with EUAS actively practicing non-discrimination and equal treatment. Digitalisation was supported through the exchange of innovative practices and online collaboration tools. Sustainability was incorporated by encouraging environmentally conscious practices in mobility and by embedding green perspectives into learning and teaching. Innovation was fostered by developing new teaching methods, piloting fresh ideas in multicultural classrooms, and strengthening EUAS’s role as an entrepreneurial and forward-looking university. In practice, EUAS encouraged students to take part in study or internship mobility to broaden their horizons, enhance their employability, and prepare for successful careers in an international labour market. Incoming students were introduced to Estonia’s educational system, business environment, and culture, which allowed for a two-way exchange of perspectives and knowledge. Staff were provided with opportunities to share expertise, participate in international classrooms, develop joint curricula, and engage in research collaboration. These experiences enabled them to strengthen intercultural and linguistic competences, improve soft skills, and build long-lasting networks. Overall, our objectives can be summarised as follows: · To provide equitable and inclusive international opportunities for students and staff. · To increase intercultural competences, employability, and active citizenship of students. · To strengthen partnerships with European institutions in teaching, research, and innovation. · To internationalise curricula and foster innovative pedagogical approaches through staff mobility. · To be a research and development partner for higher education institutions and companies throughout Europe strengthening cooperation through more efficient usages of existing educational resources. · To align mobility activities with European priorities on inclusion, digitalisation, sustainability, and innovation. · To expand EUAS pathway and joint programs portfolios. · To include more joint subjects to study programs. By implementing this project, EUAS aimed to create a more open, diverse, and high-quality learning environment. The Erasmus+ programme has helped us transform internationalisation from a set of opportunities for individuals into a strategic institutional priority. It has reinforced our belief that diversity is a strength, and that harnessing this diversity creates a productive and inspiring environment in which all talents are recognised and fully utilised.
