Tallinn University of Technology supports the participation of all students in international mobility and the provision of international studying experiences to the entire student body. Through degree-seeking international students and incoming exchange students, even those TalTech students who, for various reasons, cannot or do not wish to study abroad themselves, are able to gain international studying experiences. The Erasmus+ programme plays a major role in achieving these goals. The addition of short-term and blended mobility opportunities, including participation in Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs), offers a valuable opportunity for Tallinn University of Technology students who, for certain reasons, are unable to study abroad for a semester or two. The physical component of short-term mobility can last as little as five days. This measure also helps to promote TalTech among international students – participation in short-term mobility may encourage them to return later for semester-long studies. The aim of Tallinn University of Technology’s 2023 Erasmus+ project was to provide international mobility experiences to 300 participants, including 150 students and 150 staff members. Within the framework of the 2023 Erasmus+ project, Tallinn University of Technology enabled a total of 300 individuals to participate in mobility: 41 students undertook traineeships and 90 students studied abroad (131 students in total), as well as 17 teaching staff who went abroad to teach and 152 staff members who participated in other types of mobility (169 staff members in total). Out of the 131 students mentioned above, 20 participated in short-term mobility – all of them in short-term study mobility.
