Objectives

Our Erasmus+ activities were all about getting started with international youth work, and we wanted to organize both a study visit and a youth exchange to open the door to more international opportunities and and show participants what Erasmus+ has to offer. With study visit we aimed developing youth work with a community-based approach. Since this approach is relatively new in Estonia, we wanted to give youth workers their first real opportunity to learn from the experiences of other countries and develop a concept that fits our society and local community, bringing new opportunities and meeting the needs of our youth. We wanted to give youth workers chance to collaborate with colleagues from other countries and exchange experiences and ideas about youth work and methods. Through youth exchange we aimed to create more opportunities for local youth to participate in international youth work. We want young people to gain experience in international project writing, collaboration, and project implementation. We aimed to provide project implementation experience through youth exchange projects, while also increasing opportunities for young people with fewer opportunities to gain international experience and intercultural learning.
