Youth workers are the pillars of Erasmus+ programme. They play essential role in supporting and guiding young people. Their impact on youth is beyond measurement, often they become light houses, safe harbors and teachers of life, who understand and help youth navigating through the difficulties of everyday life. But this happens only, when young people feel heard and understood when they are shown empathy and true compassion. Being able to build such connections is not that easy, if you do not have good people's skills, but this should be mandatory for every youth work practioner. “Communication Matrix” was implemented with the main objective to equip youth workers and youth leaders with strong interpersonal skills, which would enable them to build better connections, mediate and guide youth groups in safe and peaceful manner. The programme focused on improving 4 types of communication (verbal, nonverbal, written and visual) with an emphasis to the most challenging areas, which require more practice, knowledge and awareness.
