Objectives

The aim of the project was to develop critical thinking, argumentation skills, and participatory competence. Through a 35-hour intensive argumentation training, we utilized the debate method to cultivate knowledge and skills that are socially significant. Secondly, we aimed to provide young people with the experience of how they can contribute to the development of their local environment and effect change. Students gained a better understanding of their role in society through identifying problems, finding solutions, and engaging with decision-makers. We also aimed to amplify the abilities of group leaders and support their development as trainers, thereby fostering the growth of their mentoring and leadership skills. Additionally, we sought to establish contacts with schools to maintain communication beyond the project, to support the creation of sustainable debate opportunities in relevant areas, and to enhance the impact of the project's results on future students.
