The main objective of project was to equip youth workers, educators, and NGO representatives with skills in educational game design and gamification to enhance the quality and inclusivity of youth work. We aimed to develop innovative, engaging, and interactive learning tools that address key social issues such as cultural identity, nonprofit management, workplace dynamics, and gender diversity. Through the project, we aimed to: - provide practical training on educational game design and its application in non-formal education; - develop and distribute four inclusive educational games, each tailored to the competencies and expertise of partner organizations; - increase accessibility to high-quality educational resources by making all games available in a free print & play format; - strengthen international cooperation among organizations working with diverse youth groups; - promote social inclusion, active citizenship, and intercultural dialogue through game-based learning. By achieving these goals, we ensured that youth workers gained practical tools and methodologies to create engaging learning experiences, leading to a long-term impact on youth education and empowerment.
We applied for this project to address the growing need for innovative and engaging educational tools in youth work. Many youth workers, educators, and NGOs lack the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use game-based learning and gamification in their educational activities. Through a needs analysis, we identified key challenges: limited access to high-quality educational games, a lack of training in game design, and the need for inclusive, engaging, and interactive learning methods that promote social inclusion, intercultural dialogue, and human rights. Our goal was to equip youth workers with practical competencies in educational game design and to create ready-to-use educational games addressing important social and educational topics. By developing these games, we aimed to provide new, inclusive learning tools that could be widely used across different educational settings. The project also fostered international cooperation between organizations working with diverse target groups, including cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, migrants, and youth from rural areas, ensuring a broad and lasting impact.
