The ENTRE_VET project aimed to strengthen entrepreneurship education in VET by achieving the following key objectives: to analyse the entrepreneurial behaviour and intentions of VET students across partner countries before and after receiving entrepreneurship training; to assist VET schools in implementing the Osnabrück Declaration by providing practical, ready-to-use tools that complement existing curricula without requiring formal curricular reform; to provide VET students with accessible, understandable and up-to-date information on entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial mindset; to strengthen collaboration between VET institutions and local entrepreneurs through structured workshops; to promote digital learning in VET education through the development of an online micro-learning course and a freely accessible digital platform; and to bring entrepreneurship education closer to students at risk of social exclusion, increasing their chances of successful entry into the labour market as self-employed individuals. Collectively, these objectives contributed to the European Skills Agenda and supported the transition towards a more resilient, entrepreneurial and inclusive European economy.
We applied for the ENTRE_VET project to strengthen entrepreneurship education in vocational education and training and to make it more practical, inclusive and relevant to labour market needs. The project responded to a clear need to provide VET learners with more accessible and up-to-date entrepreneurship learning opportunities, as entrepreneurship education is not always delivered in a sufficiently practical or consistent way across different contexts. The project also addressed the need to better understand VET students’ entrepreneurial awareness and intentions, in order to support the development of more relevant learning content and activities. In addition, ENTRE_VET aimed to support learners with different educational and social backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities, by offering accessible training, workshops with entrepreneurs and digital learning resources for learners, teachers and VET institutions.
