Objectives

Τhe University of the Aegean (UAegean) as a beneficiary of the ΚΑ131, call 2023 program aimed to encourage student and staff mobilities, to increase the number of participants, to the recognition of the mobility period for all the participants, to reinforce the international profile of academic staff members, to familiarize the participants with different educational environments of European countries or countries associated to the program. Additionally, in the framework of this project, for the first time at UAegean, Phd candidates (3rd cycle students) have implemented mobilities to partner HEIs at Third Countries outside Europe, with great success for the participants and for the strengthening of collaboration with partner HEIs as well. The fine results of the international mobilities outside Europe lay the foundation for expansion of this type of mobility in future KA131 projects, in order to better benefit from the advantage of implementing interantional mobilities for up to 20% of the budget. Main goal of the mobilities has been to exchange scientific knowledge and good practices, to promote interculturalism and linguistic skills of learners, to the constant dissemination of information about the Program, and to the enhancing of the UAegean international profile through the creation of new partnerships and the strengthening of existing ones. Based on the experience of a long period of implementation of Erasmus KA1 projects, UAegean has tried to promote all types of mobilities, as well as to implement Blended Intensive Programs, with the aim of making better use of the opportunities offered by the program for the benefit of the participants. Although UAegean has not been able to impement all the BIP programs that had been scheduled, it considers this opportunity of bringing together participants from different HEIs and different countries of important value and expects to ameliorate its results in this mobility type in the future.
