Objectives

Harokopio University of Athens (HUA) continues to actively support and promote the Erasmus+ mobility programme for students, faculty, and administrative staff, recognizing its positive impact across the entire university community. The Erasmus+ programme plays a central role in HUA’s internationalization strategy. Through its ongoing participation, Harokopio University has significantly strengthened its position among European higher education institutions and achieved greater levels of extroversion and internationalization. The primary objective of the 2023 Erasmus+ project was to create a supportive environment for both incoming and outgoing participants, while also encouraging the development of new mobility opportunities, including virtual and blended formats. Additionally, Harokopio University promoted short-term mobilities to facilitate participation among students facing barriers such as work or financial constraints. As part of the 2023 project, a total of 115 outgoing mobilities were successfully implemented: 92 involving students and 23 involving faculty and administrative staff. The initial target of 108 mobilities was not only met but exceeded, with variations across the different mobility categories.
