Our project aimed to provide young people with fewer opportunities the chance to experience European citizenship through travel, fostering personal growth, cultural understanding, and a connection to the broader European community. We sought to enhance participants' understanding of European values, foster personal and professional development through transformative travel experiences, and promote environmental sustainability by encouraging responsible travel practices. The project addressed significant barriers faced by disadvantaged youth, such as financial constraints and geographical isolation, by offering necessary resources and support. Through this initiative, we hoped to instill a sense of European identity, promote social inclusion, and facilitate cultural exchange and understanding among participants. By enabling these young individuals to travel and engage in meaningful experiences, we aimed to contribute to their personal growth and to the development of a more inclusive and connected European society.
