To deepen our understanding of new language teaching methodologies; to observe different classroom management techniques within the schools visited. We also aimed to identify tools for inclusion based on the use of languages. For example, the insights gained at the ECML conference in Graz gave us a new perspective that we later implemented in subsequent observations. Valuing cultures and traditions—not just words—helps people feel appreciated and included.
The goal of our project, as a Teacher Training Centre for Languages, is to observe, learn, and conduct research through the observation of other teachers and their language teaching methodologies. We aim to understand how teachers and students behave in multilingual schools, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that languages are not a social barrier, but rather a means of inclusion—not only of individuals, but also of cultures.
