With the project we wanted to cover the needs detected in our students and teaching staff. For the students to be able to do their internship in an EU country, thus achieving an improvement in their linguistic competence and maturity, leading to a better employability both in our environment and abroad. For teachers by providing training through courses or shadowing in other European VET centres to improve their teacher training and bring about possible improvements.
Colegio San Juan Bautista is a Salesian educational centre for Infant, Primary, Secondary and Vocational Training. It is located in the district of Tetuán in Madrid. The population of this neighbourhood is reflected in the school (vocational training section): a multicultural neighbourhood (12 nationalities), with a disadvantaged social and economic situation. The GM pupils, who are the beneficiaries of the project, tend to be 19 years old, with low self-esteem and bad experience of school.
