With the implementation of this project, we aimed to achieve a more comprehensive European perspective across all our educational levels. Our institution offers Basic Vocational Training (FP Básica), Intermediate Vocational Training (FP Grado Medio), and Higher Vocational Training (FP Superior). While mobility in Basic and Intermediate levels has been well established for many years, we still needed to make the leap with Higher Vocational Training. Due to the limited financial support provided by the Erasmus+ grant, many students had previously hesitated to take part in mobilities at this level. Therefore, one of the main priorities of this project was to expand opportunities for Higher Vocational Training students, breaking down the barriers that had prevented them from participating and ensuring that Erasmus+ was seen as a realistic and achievable option. In the previous project, only one Higher Vocational Training student undertook mobility, whereas in this project we successfully supported seven students—an increase that highlights the significant progress made. By enabling these mobilities at the Higher level, we completed the cycle of becoming an institution fully committed to internationalization, providing students with the chance to carry out professional placements in companies across the European Union—in our case, in France and Italy. Through these mobilities, we sought to show both participants and their peers that their future is not limited to national opportunities but also extends to a broader European horizon. We wanted students to broaden their vision for their academic and professional paths, creating a multiplier effect within our educational community. Success stories from the first year of implementation (academic year 2023/24) were particularly inspiring, motivating other students to apply for Erasmus+ in the future. To maximize this effect, we organized targeted dissemination and communication activities—such as student testimonials during graduation ceremonies, blog publications, and peer-to-peer meetings across different levels—ensuring that Erasmus+ experiences reached as many students as possible. Our ultimate aim was for Erasmus+ to become a regular, integrated part of our institution, accessible to all levels of education. The increasing interest among Higher Vocational Training students in upcoming calls demonstrates that this goal has been successfully achieved. Another key objective was to enhance students’ employability and personal development. We trusted that professional placements in European companies would enrich their CVs and allow them to stand out in the job market. We also expected participants to return with greater self-confidence, improved linguistic competences, and a broader perspective on their future studies and careers. The outcomes have been remarkable: among the students who took part in Erasmus mobilities through this project, none are currently unemployed. Two have chosen to pursue university studies, one is now living abroad, and the rest have entered the labor market. Their experiences in European companies have not only strengthened their professional profiles but also significantly improved their employability—precisely one of the project’s main objectives. In addition, students enhanced their language skills, both by improving their English and by learning a new language from scratch (French or Italian). The fact that every participant is now studying, working, or living abroad confirms that this goal was more than achieved. Ultimately, this project sought to strengthen the European and international dimension of our institution. By ensuring Erasmus+ opportunities were accessible across all levels, we consolidated our internationalization strategy. Moreover, we strengthened partnerships with host companies in France and Italy, ensuring the continuity of the program and opening new opportunities for future student cohorts. Through the implementation of this project, our institution has taken both a qualitative and quantitative leap in its internationalization efforts, positioning our students and our school within a shared European space of opportunities, learning, and growth.
