Objectives

Our institute has a long history with the Erasmus+ programme, participating in the Higher Education programme since 2014. We are an institute with a large number of students and we offer different types of education: secondary school, sixth form, and basic, intermediate and advanced vocational training. Our advanced vocational training courses are related to hospitality, tourism and IT. These are three large sectors where there are many opportunities for mobility, allowing students and teachers to have enriching experiences on a cultural, linguistic, personal and professional level. Our school is located in a working-class neighbourhood, where middle-class working people live. Eighty per cent of our enrolled students come from the neighbourhood. Another 20% are students who come from towns near the capital. Our Institute's participation in Erasmus projects allows these students to take part in work placements in other European countries. This opportunity enables them to discover new cultures, new experiences and new job markets that they might not otherwise be able to access without the help of Erasmus. Having Erasmus at our centre is an incentive for young people in the neighbourhood to enrol and apply to participate in the project. We seek to achieve the following objectives: *to promote the educational mobility of individuals and groups, as well as cooperation, quality, inclusion and equity, excellence, creativity and innovation at the level of organisations and policies in the field of education and training; *to promote mobility in non-formal and informal learning and active participation among young people, as well as cooperation, quality, inclusion, creativity and innovation at the level of organisations and policies in the field of youth; *to promote the educational mobility of staff, as well as cooperation, quality, inclusion, creativity and innovation. * promote sustainability by advocating for sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility. * promote mobility for people with fewer opportunities, thereby supporting inclusion. To achieve the above objectives, we publish calls for student/staff mobility, usually at the beginning of October, so that the selected students can move in March. When searching for companies, we sometimes seek intermediaries, although we prefer to do the search ourselves and establish direct communication with the internship company. This direct communication gives us more assurance and confidence, so we know where the student will be doing their internship.
