Objectives

The implementation of this project has enabled our school and its educational community to achieve many of the objectives set out in the ECHE Charter and in its annual general programme. This project allows both our students of the Higher Level Training Cycles and the staff of these teachings to be trained in European companies and educational centres, allowing them to access an updated and global training. Our institute is an educational centre where the teaching of languages plays an important role in the training provided. Many of our courses are currently bilingual, which means that the possibility of training in a European environment takes on a greater dimension. Not only is it a question of acquiring knowledge and skills that will be basic in the development of the key competences of our students and staff, but they also do so using a language other than their mother tongue, which becomes a unique and integrating opportunity. Staff who undertake a training mobility under the programme have their knowledge and/or methodologies updated as part of their lifelong learning. Teaching is constantly changing and the opportunity to train in a European environment is a unique opportunity for our staff. Specifically, under this project 5 of our teachers have acquired knowledge, 3 in training courses in Finland and 2 in Job Shadowing in Italy. This acquired training will lead to a different vision of their teaching work, allowing them to develop new ways of approaching their daily practice in class that will have an impact on better results in the training of students in the modules in which they teach. Our training grants for staff have seen an increase year after year, because through the dissemination actions, our staff has been made aware of the opportunity that the programme offers them, and the possibility of carrying out a training mobility grant is motivating for them because two vital objectives are achieved, on the one hand they receive a complete training and of great interest to them, but on the other hand, they see developed and increased other key competences in their personal and professional development. Language and social skills are developed during their stay in the host country, making them familiar with a new social environment. As for the students, the implementation of this project has allowed them to achieve 1-The acquisition of the key skills of their studies: In our centre we have Higher Vocational Training in the professional families of Hospitality and Tourism, Food Industries and Administration and Management, very practical studies in which training periods in companies are of key importance in their training, and thanks to the project, this period can be carried out in a European company, something of vital importance in their training and future projection. Under this project, 5 students from different courses (1 in Travel Agency and Event Management, 1 in Tourist Accommodation Management and 3 in Kitchen Management) have had the opportunity to acquire the key competences of their courses during the 90 days of training. The training programme they have developed was composed of the Learning Outcomes of their internship, but they have also acquired other competences of utmost importance for their personal and professional development: language skills and Soft Skills. 2-The motivation of the students: Our students are informed, from the beginning of their studies, of the existence of the Erasmus + Programme in the school and the opportunity to apply for a mobility grant for training in the 2nd year. It is very motivating for them to be able to carry out the training stay and a possible professional future in another country other than the one where they live. For this reason, and knowing that their training is vital during the two years at the educational centre, they devote themselves to the training received with enthusiasm and dedication 3-Increased employability: The comprehensive and complete training received has an impact on the increased employability of the pupils who undertake the mobility, but, in addition, practically all of those who do it receive a job offer from the company in which they do their work experience period. Not all of them accept it, as personal reasons prevent them from doing so, but many others decide to continue their professional career in the European company where they have done the mobility or within the chain to which the establishment belongs. 4-Access to mobility for students with fewer opportunities: Three of the five students who undertook the mobility had limited resources, as demonstrated by the fact that they were beneficiaries of a Ministry of Education scholarship.
