Objectives

1) To tangibly improve their learning outcomes and employability through academic stays and internships abroad, fully integrated into the curriculum and with automatic credit recognition upon return. This objective is aligned with the aims of the Program and with the commitments of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, which requires transparency, equal treatment, and clear academic recognition. 2) Increase the number and diversity of students who complete their studies with an international experience, both long-term and short-term, including international weeks, semesters at partner universities, and combined modalities that make mobility more accessible to different profiles. In doing so, we wanted to open up real opportunities for those with fewer possibilities and reinforce their participation on equal terms. 3) Develop key cross-cutting skills in students: initiative, autonomy, working in multicultural teams, critical thinking, and intercultural sensitivity. We also aimed to improve their language skills through prior preparation and support from our language institute, to ensure that stays are carried out with the appropriate language level. 4) Among teaching staff and administrative and service personnel, promote mobility for teaching, training, and observation as a lever for teaching modernization, exchange of good practices, and strengthening of academic networks. This mobility should translate into methodological innovation in the classroom and improved services for students before, during, and after mobility. 5) Integrate the program's priorities in a practical way: inclusion and diversity, environmental sustainability, and digital transformation. Specifically, we set out to promote the use of more sustainable means of transport where feasible, digitize mobility management processes, and encourage virtual collaboration activities to complement face-to-face stays. 6) Strengthen the quality and transparency of the entire mobility cycle: prior information and guidance, clear and documented selection procedures, well-defined learning agreements, linguistic and cultural support, peer mentoring, monitoring during the stay, and reintegration and recognition services upon return. 7) Expand and update agreements with leading universities, diversifying destinations and areas of knowledge, so that each degree program offers several quality options and there is a precise match between the skills required upon graduation and what the host institution has to offer. At the same time, we plan to promote combined intensive programs and short-term projects with companies and organizations that connect academic training with the professional environment. 8) Increase the visibility and international appeal of Villanueva University by strengthening the International Office and support services and consolidating an institutional culture geared towards internationalization, in line with our Erasmus Policy Statement and the experience gained in previous years.
