The Catholic University of Ávila (UCAV) is a private institution that, through the Erasmus programme, promotes a rich international learning experience with a strong global dimension. We believe that academic excellence requires a firm commitment to internationalisation, which is why the Erasmus programme has become a cornerstone of our institutional strategy. Participation in this initiative represents a strategic opportunity for UCAV. The aim of this project was to provide students and staff with meaningful international experiences that would broaden their academic and cultural horizons. UCAV sought to strengthen its internationalisation strategy, improve the quality of teaching and learning, and foster intercultural understanding. The project also aimed to consolidate partnerships with other universities and to encourage participants’ sense of belonging to the European Union by promoting active citizenship and commitment to the values of equality, cooperation and respect. We are convinced that such experiences play a decisive role in reinforcing participants’ sense of belonging to the European Union and in fostering awareness of active, supportive citizenship. In this way, UCAV not only promotes academic excellence but also helps to shape individuals committed to the European values of equality, cooperation, and respect, fundamental pillars of Europe’s identity and future.
