Summary of Implementation and Objectives Achieved: The main objective of this project was to implement the eight mobility activities initially planned over its 26-month duration, with a particular focus on student mobility with less opportunities and the enhancement of our organization’s internationalisation strategy. All four planned student mobility placements were successfully carried out—two in 2024 in Germany and Italy and two in 2025 in Italy. Regarding staff mobility, one training mobility was completed out in Poland of the four initially proposed. The remaining funds were strategically reallocated to increase by three the number of student mobilities for studies, a newly implemented modality for our institution, made possible through participation in a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) in Poland 2023. This marks the second 26-month Higher Education mobility project implemented by our institution under the Erasmus+ 2021–2027 programme, as we did not participate in the initial 2021 call. At IES Gabriel Miró, we have strongly committed to reviving and strengthening Erasmus+ mobilities for both students and teaching staff enrolled in Advanced Vocational Training Cycles (CFGS), considered short-cycle Higher Education studies within the Spanish education system and classified as ISCED level 5 by UNESCO. The participating programmes in this project were: Advanced Technician in Early Childhood Education Advanced Technician in Social Integration Advanced Technician in Gender Equality Promotion Project Background IES Gabriel Miró has consistently applied for and implemented Higher Education mobility projects as a core element of its internationalisation strategy, which has supported and enhanced its long-term institutional development. We have seventeen years of continuous experience in European-funded mobility projects—initially under the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) Erasmus 2007–2013 with the OAPEE, followed by Erasmus+ 2014–2020 with the Spanish National Agency SEPIE, and currently under the Erasmus+ 2021–2027 framework. This is our second project within the new programme cycle. The only interruption occurred during the 2020 KA103 call due to the COVID-19 crisis. At that time, the decision was made to continue only with the active KA103 2018 and KA103 2019 projects, whose durations were extended, and to return the newly approved KA103 2020 project in full. In the KA131 2022 call, although four mobility activities were requested, the National Agency (SEPIE) based its allocation on the mobilities completed in the most recent project, without considering the larger number of mobilities and funding we had implemented through still-active Higher Education projects from 2018 and 2019 that were extended due to the pandemic. As a result, only one staff training mobility was granted. However, this training experience proved crucial, as it enabled our participation for the first time in a study mobility in this call 2023 within a BIP coordinated by the same Polish university where the staff member received their training in the 2022 project. Institutional Objectives As a beneficiary institution, our main objectives were: To improve and consolidate the internationalisation strategy of IES Gabriel Miró. To continue the European mobility experiences for students, which began in 2009, and for staff training, implemented since 2013. To expand our network of international partners, creating opportunities for future students to enhance their professional competencies aligned with their qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Social Integration, and Gender Equality Promotion. Through this project, although modest in scale, we created valuable learning opportunities for both trainees and students participating in study mobilities. Their engagement in real professional environments has contributed to the development of essential skills in: Working in early childhood education settings and nurseries. Social intervention services supporting vulnerable groups. Promoting gender equality from a professional and socially engaged perspective. In addition, participants were integrated into multidisciplinary teams and international work environments, strengthening both their employability and their personal development within the broader European context.
