Objectives

From its design phase, this Erasmus+ K131 project was conceived as a transformative lever for the comprehensive improvement of the school and its educational community, in line with the strategic objectives of internationalization, pedagogical innovation, and connection with the European productive environment. The essential aim was to continue fostering the school’s openness to the European Education and Vocational Training Area by offering students and teachers mobility opportunities that would allow them to acquire, strengthen, and transfer key technical and transversal competences in real international contexts. For students, the main objective was to facilitate practical training experiences abroad that would enhance their employability, strengthen their personal and professional maturity, and develop intercultural, linguistic, and digital skills essential for their integration into a global labor market. Specifically, the project aimed to organize mobilities with an innovative approach, such as blended placements, combining virtual and in-person components to enable deeper and more sustained preparation over time. Special attention was given to the inclusion of students with fewer opportunities, promoting support mechanisms and specific accompaniment strategies. For teachers, the project pursued ambitious goals of professional development through job shadowing mobilities in educational institutions and companies recognized for their good practices in active methodologies, digital training, sustainability, and links with the professional sector. These experiences were meant to allow teachers to observe, learn, and adapt innovative pedagogical and organizational strategies, later transferring them to the classroom and the school as a whole, thus promoting an institutional culture of continuous improvement and transnational cooperation. Transversally, the project aimed to contribute to the achievement of the horizontal priorities of the Erasmus+ programme: enhancing educational inclusion through equitable access to mobility opportunities; fostering environmental awareness through the use of sustainable transport and the integration of environmental topics into activities; strengthening the digital competence of students and teachers through the use of platforms such as OLS and Europass; and developing active citizenship that is open and committed to European values. Furthermore, the project sought to consolidate relationships with institutions from other countries with a view to future cooperation, promoting a sustained European dimension over time. In summary, the project was born out of the desire to contribute to a real and lasting educational transformation, anchored in the principles of quality, inclusion, sustainability, and digitalization. It aimed not only to reinforce the individual trajectories of the participants, but also to strengthen the school's capacity to respond to the challenges of a constantly changing world, by structurally connecting Vocational Education and Training with Europe.
