Since the participation in the first Erasmus projects (2009), IES Alfonso II, through the mobility activities of the KA131 Action, aims to bring added value to the higher education cycles (CFGS) of vocational education and training (VET) taught in our school. The following are our expectations and expected results, in line with the general objectives set out in our ECHE Charter 2021-27: 1.- To make the higher education offered in our school (higher vocational training cycles in early childhood education and teaching and social and sports animation) more attractive and of higher quality. The aim is to consolidate the prestige of the VET training offered at our centre, helping to attract and retain students from the CFGS in Early Childhood Education and Teaching and Socio-cultural Animation. And so it is; our students value the training opportunity and human experience of participating in the current Erasmus+ project and so they communicate and disseminate it. 2.- To promote the professional development of staff and students and contribute to the modernisation and internationalisation of our institution by generating positive impacts on the business environment in the fields of early childhood education and socio-sports through the dissemination of the good practices acquired. An institution like ours, which is over 150 years old (Placa e Honor de Alfonso X el sabio, awarded by Felipe VI in 2022), maintains its educational offer and quality, among other reasons, thanks to the commitment to projects that provide evidence of its contribution to educational improvement and with the surrounding entities that collaborate in the training of our students, such as companies and training entities for internships. For our part, the return in contributions is materialised in sharing the knowledge acquired through participation in the project with these companies; making innovative experiences visible and transferring them. 3.- To offer our students new work opportunities and the development of professional skills and life skills, opening up new horizons and prospects for personal and professional development and cultural enrichment. Our aim is to contribute to the best quality in the training of students with a view to their valuation by the Asturian working environment, ensuring that their respective curricula vitae reflect exceptional training experiences and increasing their position as quality professional assets. Both training companies and the Asturian productive sector itself value the technical and attitudinal quality of our graduates.
