Our purpose was to foster the genuine internationalisation of IES Ángel de Saavedra and to measurably improve the academic and professional opportunities of students and staff, using mobility as a lever for institutional change. Specifically, we set out to: 1. Develop key competences in students (professional, linguistic, intercultural, and digital) in order to increase their employability and autonomy in international contexts. The operational goal was to offer, manage, and complete at least twenty student mobilities in studies and traineeships, prioritising the quality of the experience, personalised mentoring, and full academic recognition upon return. 2. Update and upskill teaching and administrative staff through teaching stays, training, and job-shadowing in European institutions, with the aim of introducing active methodologies, competence-based assessment, and advanced use of educational technologies in the school. The operational goal was to organise at least ten staff mobilities with training itineraries aligned with the needs identified in our institutional improvement plan. 3. Ensure equal access to mobility through inclusion measures and individualised support for participants with fewer opportunities (mentoring, specific preparation, and complementary grants where applicable), so that socioeconomic background would not become a barrier to participation. 4. Guarantee the transparent recognition of learning outcomes acquired abroad through well-defined study and traineeship agreements, with assessment criteria known in advance and formal recording of results upon return, so that mobility time would effectively count towards the learner’s academic path. 5. Integrate sustainability and digital transformation throughout project management. Our objective was to reduce the use of paper by digitising agreements and documentation, improve traceability and processing times, and facilitate prior linguistic and cultural support through online resources. 6. Strengthen strategic partnerships and diversify destinations to enhance the quality and relevance of the stays, seeking curricular complementarity, traineeship opportunities tailored to study profiles, and possibilities for future cooperation between departments and institutions. 7. Multiply impact and civic engagement through systematic dissemination on the programme’s blog and social media channels, and by establishing the role of “student and teacher ambassador”, who shares their experience in internal events to guide future cohorts, promote European values, and reinforce the sense of community. 8. Improve institutional processes related to mobility: transparent call and selection procedures, pre-departure preparation, support during the stay, follow-up upon return, and impact evaluation, with indicators enabling us to learn from experience and consolidate a continuous improvement cycle.
