Objectives

As far as students are concerned, the main aim has been to try to provide higher vocational training students with the opportunity to carry out their FCT (Workplace Training) internships in a European Union country where the student's professional field is important and where it is therefore possible to find an internship company with a certain degree of ease. The fact of doing an internship abroad forces the student to develop their professional skills in an environment where, inevitably, they also have to develop their linguistic, personal and social skills, all of which are essential when starting their professional development. In terms of teaching staff, the aim was to carry out a series of job shadowings where our teachers could bring back, as far as possible, the best ideas from the educational systems visited, as well as trying to carry out international mobilities that would strengthen the relationship of our centre with international institutions with a view to promoting more mobilities in the future. Twelve long-term student placements were carried out in four different countries (Italy, Germany, Greece and Poland). As for teaching staff, three short job shadowing mobilities have been carried out, two of them being international mobilities, one to Kenya and the other to the United States. The remaining one went to Germany. The total result is fifteen mobilities implemented.
