Our goal as a centre has been to carry out this type of mobility project, offering our students and staff the opportunity to broaden their academic, professional and personal experiences through international internships and training. Initially, the aim was to carry out one staff mobility for training and six student mobilities for internships. The purpose of these mobility programmes was to enable students to acquire other skills in terms of work experience in a real-life environment. Furthermore, as the courses at IES D'elhuyar are related to tourism, proficiency in languages other than Spanish is an advantage for participating in this mobility programme. As a centre, we believe that these types of projects improve the employability of participants and increase their autonomy and maturity. At the same time, we wanted to bring our centre closer to a European dimension and strengthen ties with other companies outside La Rioja by giving teachers the opportunity to participate in mobility programmes.
