Over the years, and particularly with this Erasmus KA131HED mobility project, one of our main motivations has been to strengthen and expand our school's capabilities within a more global and international context. We have sought out experiences that go beyond mere temporary contact, as we have aspired to generate a lasting impact on educational quality through the professional development of our staff, as well as on the academic and personal journeys of our students. Consequently, our project has focused on two types of mobilities: outgoing student mobility for traineeships (long-term) and outgoing staff mobility for training. Regarding student mobility for traineeships, we can say that it constitutes one of the central pillars of our institutional strategy to prepare the next generation of professionals for the different sectors our institution serves. In our specific case, through this project, we had three fundamental objectives. First, to develop the student's professional competencies, since immersion in an international work environment allowed them to apply theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom to a real-life situation, and in a professional context very different from that of countries in the European Union, as the mobility was to Colombia. Upon his return, we can say that our student has acquired specific technical skills in his field (the electrical sector) that he would not have gained from doing his traineeship in a more local environment. Second, we have sought to improve his employability. By doing his traineeship in companies in other countries, our student has improved his professional network and we have helped him gain a competitive advantage in the job market through his experience in an Erasmus program. This is especially relevant given that our schoool is geographically isolated and in a small area. Therefore, this international experience is highly valued by local companies for all that his participation implies (proactivity, maturity, etc.). Third, we have also sought to help our students in their cultural and personal growth. As already mentioned, our school is in a rural area and, on many occasions, our students do not have the opportunity to travel to other places and/or learn about other cultures. For this reason, with this project, we wanted to foster personal growth, autonomy, self-confidence, and an understanding of other cultures that they might not otherwise have dared to visit and, much less, to work in. As for outgoing staff mobility, the objective was and will continue to be to promote a culture of continuous improvement within the center and the exchange of good practices at the European level. We wanted our team members, by participating in training stays at partner institutions, to be able to acquire new perspectives, innovative methodologies, and updated knowledge in their respective areas of teaching (administration, vehicle maintenance, and electricity). More specifically, our goal was for staff to return with tools that would allow us to do the following. On one hand, to modernize teaching and learning in each of the professional families mentioned, since getting to know other approaches and technologies used in other countries (in our case, Croatia, Italy, and Portugal) allows us to integrate and/or extrapolate them into our institution's curricula and/or classrooms. Our center usually participates in numerous educational innovation conferences in vocational training , such as InnovaFP, so the educational center is committed to continuous innovation and improvement in education. On the other hand, the project has strengthened and established a network of contacts with Croatian, Italian, and Portuguese institutions, companies, and associations, with which we hope it will be possible to establish collaborative relationships for joint projects, continue the exchange and learning of good practices, and also collaborate in the future on new student mobilities for traineeships in workplaces. In short, the project sought to improve the employability of our students while improving the quality of our teaching, a key objective of our internationalization strategy.
