The KA131 action represents one of the pillars of international mobility for the Complutense University of Madrid (hereinafter UCM) due to the breadth and quality of its collaborations. The Erasmus+ programme therefore plays a fundamental role in consolidating an internationally attractive university system that is open to the world, promoting the capabilities of our society and improving the competitiveness of higher education. The 2023 project maintains continuity with the objectives established by the Vice-Rectorate for International Relations, Cooperation and Volunteering, within the framework of its internationalisation strategy. The mobility project has been developed through an extensive network of high-quality partners, with more than 2,500 agreements and 933 partner institutions in most European countries, which has made it possible to organise mobility opportunities for all degrees taught at the UCM, as well as opportunities for the mobility of teaching and administrative staff. The objectives expected to be achieved with the 2023 project include the following: - Promoting academic excellence. - Ensuring quality-based project management, with a special focus on transparency, equality, inclusion and support for participants with fewer opportunities. - To increase the quality and quantity of mobility and participant activities, offering appropriate channels for dissemination and information. - To achieve the full integration of incoming participants through the coordination of Centres, Mobility Offices and University Services, which, in a cross-cutting manner, facilitate their admission, training and incorporation into all academic, cultural and sporting activities. - Maintain a fluid relationship with partner institutions to optimise the use of programme resources. We should also highlight that another of the objectives of the 2023 project was to diversify and increase the number of participants in staff mobility activities for teaching and training, particularly within the framework of networks of excellence in which the UCM participates. In this regard, we can mention the Una Europa University Alliance, which is strengthening its presence with the implementation of a Joint Degree in European Studies and the approval of a new Joint Degree in Sustainability, which will begin to be taught in the 2025-26 academic year. In conclusion, this project has made it possible to consolidate the internationalisation strategy of the UCM's Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate programmes, promoting the development of new global skills for both students and staff and strengthening opportunities for academic and professional collaboration at an international level.
