By carrying out this project we expected to broaden the training opportunities of our students beyond the limitations imposed by our island, which is marked by remoteness, lack of infrastructures and the absence of companies connected to the fields of design and fashion. Our main goal was to allow students to carry out internships in real and specialized professional environments, where they could acquire technical skills, apply creativity and gain experiences that would complement their academic education. We also aimed to foster in them a sense of belonging to the European community, to encourage contact with other cultures and ways of life, and to improve their ability to communicate in foreign languages. Participation in these mobilities was intended to serve as both a personal and professional stimulus, motivating students to become entrepreneurs and to bring back to the island new ideas and references that could contribute to economic and cultural development. At the same time, we wanted to increase the visibility of our school within the European context, strengthen our identity as an institution of artistic education and build closer links with institutions and companies from other countries, thus creating a collaborative network that would enrich both our students and the educational community as a whole.
