Objectives

The main objective of our Erasmus+ project was to promote internationalization and raise educational quality through direct experiences in other European Higher Education institutions. Through mobility programs at European universities, the aim was to offer participants learning opportunities in diverse academic and cultural contexts, enabling them not only to acquire specific knowledge in their fields of study and work, but also to develop key transversal skills for their professional future. We set ourselves the following specific objectives: - Development of academic competences in international environments. - Fostering participants’ identification with European citizenship and strengthening the sense of being an active part of Europe. - Improvement of linguistic and communicative skills in other languages. - Exchange of good practices and innovative pedagogical models. - Broadening participants’ cultural and social perspectives. - Establishment of new cooperation networks among higher education institutions for future projects or collaborations. - Reinforcement of employability and professional development through training experiences in different European contexts. Contact with institutions in different countries promotes intellectual openness and adaptation to diverse teaching and research methodologies. This international environment facilitates the comparison of educational practices, the identification of areas for improvement, and the transfer of innovative models to our own institution, which directly impacts the quality of education provided. Mobilities offer active, participative learning experiences, where students and teachers face new academic and social challenges. In this way, they acquire not only technical and scientific knowledge but also develop intercultural skills, communication in foreign languages, adaptability, teamwork, and critical thinking. These competences are essential for thriving in a globalized, multicultural world. One of the pillars of the project is the exchange of good pedagogical and methodological practices, which enrich not only direct participants but also the wider educational community upon their return. Collaboration among institutions facilitates the creation of stable networks for the development of joint projects, shared research, or future mobilities, consolidating long-term cooperation and generating new institutional opportunities. The project also addresses the need to enhance students’ employability, since international experience is highly valued in today’s labor market. Taking part in an Erasmus program provides a broader vision of European diversity and challenges, as well as a deeper understanding of the European Union’s values and objectives regarding education, inclusion, and mobility. Finally, direct contact with different academic and cultural realities fosters both the personal growth and professional development of participants. Learning to cope outside one’s own country, overcoming challenges, gaining new perspectives, and becoming part of an international community strengthens self-esteem, autonomy, initiative, resilience, and adaptability, generating a positive impact at both the individual and collective levels.
