Objectives

The main aim of implementing this Erasmus+ project was to facilitate the mobility of Higher Vocational Education and Training (VET) students, enabling them to undertake internships in European companies. The goal was to enhance their employability, acquire professional skills in an international environment, develop language competencies, and foster personal growth and integration into a more cohesive Europe. In addition, staff mobility was included with the objective of observing best practices, establishing connections with European companies and training institutions, and improving teachers' competencies in an international context, all of which positively impact the quality of teaching at the institution. Although 14 mobilities were initially granted, only 6 were eventually carried out — 4 of which corresponded to teaching staff and only 2 to students. This difference from the original plan reflects certain challenges encountered during the implementation of the project, such as low student availability for international stays (for personal, academic, financial or work reasons), as well as logistical and coordination challenges and changes in the staff responsible for coordinating Erasmus at the center. Nevertheless, the mobilities that were carried out partially met the project’s objectives. Participating staff gained broader insights into vocational training practices across Europe and established valuable contacts for future collaboration. The two students who took part in the mobility highly valued the experience, achieving notable personal and professional development. The project also served as an opportunity to identify areas for improvement in the promotion and management of mobilities, with the aim of increasing student participation in future editions and making the most of the program's potential.
