Objectives

The K131 Erasmus project is an integral part of the strategic plan of Universitat Abat Oliba CEU (hereinafter UAO CEU) and its direct objective is the internationalisation of the university. International mobility projects for students and staff actively promote the international recognition and growth of the institution. An indirect objective is to foster collaboration with other European countries and with the best higher education European institutions, thus fostering the European spirit and integration within the university, both among students and teaching and non-teaching staff. These actions help to create a new generation of active, conscious citizens committed to the European values and inclusiveness. It would be impossible to achieve these goals without the support, initiative and financial funds of the Erasmus Programme. Additionally, a major challenge during this project was implementing and fostering digitalisation, according to Erasmus Without Papers initiative and our internal digitalisation policies. In fact, digitalisation will remain one of the most important objectives also for future Erasmus+ projects. On the other hand, the KA131 Eramus project is indirectly but indispensably related to our role as a partner university within the EUonAIR (The European University on AI in Curricula, Smart UniverCity and Return Mobility) European Alliance, focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence in higher education. Although the European Universities Initiative provides their own budget, we should emphasise the fundamental importance of learning mobility of individuals as a mean of achievement of the goals and objectives of the alliance.
