When implementing this Erasmus KA131 project, our expectations were closely aligned with the fundamental objectives of the Erasmus+ programme, particularly in promoting educational mobility, enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, and strengthening the European dimension in higher education. From the outset, we aimed to provide our students, teaching staff, and administrative personnel with meaningful opportunities to broaden their personal, academic, and professional horizons through international experiences that foster the development of key competences, intercultural awareness, and employability. One of our main goals was to promote the internationalisation of our institution not merely as a strategic objective, but as a structural value that permeates all dimensions of academic life. With this project, we hoped to generate a transformative impact within our educational community: we expected that students, through mobility, would acquire transversal skills such as autonomy, resilience, teamwork in multicultural contexts, language proficiency, and critical thinking. We also hoped these experiences would enrich their academic training with diverse perspectives that complement their local education, while strengthening their sense of European citizenship. Regarding teaching and non-teaching staff, our intention was to promote their professional development through training and teaching mobility in foreign institutions, allowing them to acquire new methodologies, technological tools, and best practices, as well as to establish lasting international cooperation ties. In doing so, we expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of our educational quality through the introduction of methodological and curricular innovations inspired by these experiences. We also aimed to consolidate a culture of internationalisation among staff members, encouraging them to act as multipliers who promote and spread the value of European mobility within their departments and work areas. Furthermore, one of the project’s expectations was to strengthen and diversify the strategic international partnerships of our institution. The implementation of mobilities was intended to support the reinforcement of networks with European universities and educational centres, as well as the exploration of new opportunities for academic cooperation, joint research, and the development of shared educational programmes. In this regard, we expected the project to serve as a catalyst for consolidating our presence in the European Higher Education Area and for projecting the identity and values of our institution internationally. In the medium and long term, we also hoped to increase our capacity to attract international talent and to take part more actively in other Erasmus+ actions and multilateral cooperation initiatives. Finally, a cross-cutting expectation was to ensure that mobility opportunities were inclusive and accessible to all our students, especially those with fewer opportunities or in vulnerable situations. To this end, we designed support mechanisms including guidance, financial assistance, and follow-up to ensure equitable participation. Our aim was for the positive impact of the project to reach as many people as possible and to help reduce inequalities by promoting fairer and more diverse mobility. In summary, through the implementation of this Erasmus KA131 project, we expected it to become a powerful tool for educational, personal, and institutional transformation, aligned with European values of cooperation, inclusion, innovation, and sustainability. The project was conceived as an opportunity to prepare our students and staff to face the challenges of a global, interconnected, and ever-changing society, while strengthening the role of our institution as a key player within the European educational landscape.
