At IES Rascanya – Antonio Cañuelo in Valencia, our main goals have always been the internationalisation of our school and the promotion of a stronger European awareness within our educational community. At the same time, we have consistently supported the implementation of innovative pedagogical approaches, while recognising that educational innovation requires time and can be challenging, especially in areas where some teachers are still hesitant to introduce changes. With this mobility project, we wanted to continue along the path started in previous initiatives, aiming to achieve objectives such as building and strengthening a true European citizenship and opening ourselves to the knowledge of other educational and professional realities within our neighbouring countries. On a methodological level, the project involved close coordination among different areas, with the participation of teachers from the three vocational education departments: Electrical and Electronic Studies, Physical Education and Sports, and Installations and Maintenance. This multidisciplinary approach has enriched the experience and broadened the impact of the mobility within our school. In addition, we sought to enhance the international dimension of our students by including the participation of one learner from the Higher Vocational Training Programme in Thermal and Fluid Installations Project Development, who completed a two-month internship in a Finnish company. This mobility enabled the student to gain professional experience in a European context, improve his personal autonomy, and strengthen his technical, linguistic and intercultural competences, serving as a motivating example for the rest of our learners.
