Objectives

The Erasmus+ project of the Fundació Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) had as its fundamental purpose the consolidation and expansion of a culture of international mobility within the institution, understood not only as an academic opportunity for students and staff, but also as a strategic axis for institutional internationalization and modernization. The project involved a total of 59 participants, of which: * 26 SMS mobilities, including 14 combined mobilities through Intensive BIP Programmes * 15 SMT mobilities, staff mobility for training * 18 STT mobilities, including teaching staff as well as administrative and services staff (Communication Service, International Service, etc.) The main objectives developed can be detailed along the following axes: One goal was to increase the number of student and staff mobilities, which achieved very positive results: 45 participants had been planned, but 59 were declared. This overperformance reflects a resounding success of the programme, especially in student mobility for studies (SMS, 118.93%) and staff mobility for training (STT, 142.97%). Another key objective was to ensure the highest quality of mobilities, prioritizing agreements with institutions of recognized prestige in the field of music (such as Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, and Finland), thus guaranteeing training experiences of excellence. This priority has enabled the institution to fulfil its commitment to 100% recognition of learning outcomes. The pedagogical and innovative dimension of ESMUC was actively reinforced, seeking to integrate mobility not as an isolated experience, but as a resource that enriches and enhances existing curricula. This was reflected in the success of the first Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) organized, which has placed the institution in a leadership position in shared innovation and methodological transferability. Strategically, the project has strengthened sustainable networks, serving as a key driver for ESMUC’s inclusion in the European University Alliance IN.TUNE, the first dedicated to higher music education. Finally, horizontal priorities were actively implemented, promoting inclusion and equity (encouraging the participation of underrepresented groups and offering a free Catalan course), as well as advancing the digitalization of management (EWP/OLA), consolidating the international projection and prestige of the institution. Across all activities, efforts were made to foster intercultural dialogue and to improve specific competences (such as language skills and employability-related skills) through cross-border cooperation.
